This is what the scientific community thinks of Christians

In a letter which was sold at auction a few years ago Albert Einstein said this: “The word of God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still purely primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.”; This kind of sentiment from someone who was a Jew, God’s chosen people.

If His chosen people consider the Bible to be childish, primitive legends which have no bearing or meaning for us today then how can we possibly convince anyone of His love for mankind and the redemption of all who will come to Him? God has patience but it does eventually reach its limit.

Our true calling given by Jesus Himself is to go out into the world and tell others of His love and of the simple act of belief in His saving grace to be granted eternal life by the Father. We all have an eternal soul but the acceptance of Jesus as your savior determines if you will serve Him in Heaven for eternity or be cast into Hell with Satan and his demons. The only decision which will send people to an eternal punishment is their rejection of Jesus as savior, nothing else!

That one act of disobedience is the only thing that will grant you passage into Hell. Of course the sinful life you lead will not earn you any points one way or the other, but by accepting Jesus you will have gained forgiveness of those sins and you will be brand new on the inside. Your old life will still try to come back but as long as you follow Jesus and pray and read the Bible, you will be able to overcome those temptations.

Before the end of this age comes, please go to a Bible teaching church and listen with your heart and your soul before it is too late. I know there are many who are trying to “predict” the end of the world but no one knows when that will come except God Himself.

Will our religious freedom be taken?

I have heard about a disturbing trend in our nation. A trend in our lawmaking bodies to restrict religion and the expression of it. Not restricting most religions but mainly Christian religions, especially those which believe the Bible to be the word of God infallible and true. Evangelical churches and pastors and some of the media have reported that there are laws being put into place which could make it illegal to tell others about Christ because it is considered “hate speech”. This picture from many years ago illustrates what could be done and may be done in our country if our lawmakers are not made aware that this cannot be tolerated. Our country was founded to be a country ruled by the people not dictated to by politicians or judges.

TheEnemy If our country falls into this trap with laws that limit or take away the freedoms that have been fought for since our country was started, we truly deserve the fate that befalls us. This is very disturbing and I pray that we will not allow our elected officials to destroy the country that we live in. If that is the will of God, it will happen. Although I hope that it is not.

In the book of Revelation it is foretold that there will be a falling away by the church and society from religion and from God before the end comes. I believe that this is about to happen or is happening now. Although it is a sad situation when people are walking away from God who loves them and always has. I heard about a friend of mine who died due to complications from diabetes this past week, he was only in his early forties. I pray that he had time to truly come to grips with the fact that God loved him and accept Jesus.

Jesus loves all of us regardless of our sins or whether we have yet accepted him or not. If you have not, think about it. Your time is not guaranteed here, no matter how young or old you may be. God knows exactly when He will call you home, but you don’t. Don’t wait, ask Jesus into your heart today. You won’t ever regret it.

Best Prayer I have heard in a Long Time…

Heavenly Father, Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in
traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day
and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry
and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man
who can’t make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college
student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of
not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the
same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to
addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through
the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this
moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last
week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together.

Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us,
the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with
those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to
us, but to all humanity.

Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive
show patience, empathy and love. Matt 5:44 Working for God on earth doesn’t pay much……but His retirement plan
is out of this world!!!

Is today’s Church following Jesus’ commandment?

Before Jesus went back to the Father, He told His followers to “Go and tell the world the good news of salvation, to spread the gospel into all nations” (Paraphrased).  Are we doing that? The church, no matter what denomination it happens to belong to, is His body on earth. If we aren’t following His commandment and doing what He told us to do, then we are just as much at fault and in sin as the rest of the world.

If you have the spirit of God, you should be trying to follow that commandment regardless of where it takes you. Jesus wasn’t afraid to go to those considered to be un-desirable sinners by the majority of Jews in His day and we shouldn’t be either. All of humanity is created in the image of God, regardless of where they are from. We are supposed to be telling them about their spiritual condition so that they can change their ways and come to Jesus. I know the rest of the world considers this to be “elitist and narrow minded” but we can’t change the word of God!

The Bible says that belief in Jesus is the only way to have eternal life with Him, there is no other way to do it! Our life is to be a reflection of Him and our lives are to be in service to Him and for Him regardless of our occupations. The life we have here is but an instant compared with eternity so we only have the time we are given to let others know about Him. The Gideon’s are an organization which is getting God’s word into the hands of people everywhere, all over the world. I am proud to be a part of that organization but the church needs to help too. It is the body of Christ and the actions of those who are members of the church reflect upon its message.

God cares for all of humanity and He created all of us for a purpose. The Bible is the word of God and our instruction book for living life for Him. Can you truly afford not to listen to the wisdom contained in it? I have read many “self-help” books in the past and they are mostly repackaged or re-worded wisdom that can be found in the Bible. Some are “new age” but those that are don’t  usually reach the audience that others do.

It is the people, young and old alike, who are outside the church or even outside of religion altogether that should be our focus. If they don’t want to hear the message, tell them anyway or at least give them a tract or some literature which will point them to Jesus.

Once you have done that, they are responsible for their own lives and you have done your part to tell them about Jesus and the life He offers. If they have more questions, they will ask. If not, the seed is planted so let the Spirit of God work on them at that point. They will answer Him in one of two ways, but it will be their responsibility to do so.
